PT Smartek Sinergi Indonesia, an affiliate of PT Nanotech Indonesia Global Tbk, officially signed a contract for the 2025 Priority Research Downstreaming Program with Hasanuddin University. The signing was witnessed by representatives from the Directorate General of Research and Development of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.

The event, which took place in Jakarta on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, was attended by Mr. Indra, President Director of PT Smartek Sinergi Indonesia, accompanied by Dr. Abu Saad, a team of experts and his staff, representatives from Hasanuddin University, and representatives from the Directorate General of Research and Development.

This research downstreaming program aims to strengthen synergy between industry and academia, while also encouraging the utilization of priority research results for practical application in society and the business world.

According to Mr. Indra, PT Smartek's involvement in this program is a strategic step for the company in supporting national innovation.

"This collaboration aligns with our commitment to bridge campus research findings with industry needs. We believe this synergy can have a positive impact on technology development in Indonesia," he said.

This collaboration between PT Smartek Sinergi Indonesia and Hasanuddin University is expected to serve as a model for the practical implementation of the government-initiated research downstreaming program, as well as strengthen the role of PT NIG Tbk as the parent company in driving innovation and sustainable technology development in the country.
