"South Tangerang, 22–24 September 2025 – PT Nanotech Indonesia Global Tbk (NIG) received a visit from a team from the Hydrodynamic Technology Research Center, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) at the Nanoplex Building, Serpong. This visit was part of the implementation of research activities entitled "Study of Standardization of Ship Laminate Construction Made from FRP" in the Research and Innovation Program for Advanced Indonesia (RIIM) in 2025.
The BRIN team attending this visit consisted of:

• Irfan Eko Sandjaja, S.T., M.T.
• Nandiko Rizal, S.T., M.T.
• Endah Suwarni, S.T., M.T.
The main agenda of the visit was collecting data on nanotechnology systems for coating paint on FRP ships, especially the application of antifouling coatings which aim to improve the performance and durability of ships made from Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP).
"This collaboration with BRIN is a strategic step in supporting national research, especially in the field of advanced materials for the maritime industry. PT Nanotech Indonesia Global Tbk is committed to providing nanotechnology-based technology that can provide added value to the resilience of the Indonesian shipping industry," said Prof. Nurul as a representative of NIG management.
"This research activity is expected to be able to produce new standards in the use of FRP materials for ships, thereby increasing the competitiveness of the national maritime industry while encouraging the application of research-based technology in the strategic industrial sector."
